April 14th, 2015

On March 11th, it was my birhday. I didn't really think much about it. I still had training and studies to do. But the night of the 10th, at midnight, Miguel shows up at my room. I didn't understand why at first, but then he yelled out "Otanjoubi omedetou" which means "Happy birthday!", haha I couldn't help but laugh. I offered him some snacks and we sat down to chat on my bed. A few moments later, Chipa showed up in my room, carrying two gifts. First, he gave me a frame with a funny message on it which I won't be uploading here... And he also decided to give me his electric guitar, which is just crazy!

We talked for about 30 minutes while I lost myself in the guitar, but I enventually had to kick them out since I needed sleep before the next morning's practice. It did feel nice to have at least my two best friends remember my birthday and come and see me.

(Wait, who's birthday is it? haha)

The next day, I went to practice, I studied, went to practice again, and then when I came back, Miguel was telling me that we HAD to go eat together. We made supper at the L-kan, the girls dorm, and another friend of Miguel even joined us. We made supper, which was a mash-up of whatever we had as ingredients. It was an interesting atmosphere, I must say.

(I think they enjoyed it more than I did haha.)

When I got back to my room, I did some cleaning a little bit, but I was then called by Chipa to come downstairs. Miguel had accidently ruined the surprise, but I played my part, and went down. Chipa was waiting with a few other guys (Shotaro (Japan), Shingo (Japan), Miguel (Spain) and Bato (Mongolia)). Haruki also joined in afterwards. They had all pitched in for pizza, and we watched a movie picked by Chipa in the lobby of the Kokusai Kaikan. The movie was Hitch, with Will Smith, and I think considering what Chipa and I had been through the last few weeks, it was perfect.

I felt very thankful for them to have done this for me. It was quite a relaxing birthday, and I enjoyed it.
